Care Team Classes Starting Up 

Beginning Sunday, February 26, during the Christian Formation hour (10:50-11:50 a.m.) the Care Team will present a series on “Flourishing in Body, Mind and Spirit: Some Perspectives on Healing”. 
- Feb. 26: “What Does the Bible Say About Healing… Then & Now”
- Mar. 4: “Flourishing Body: Praying for the Sick”
- Mar. 11: “Flourishing Mind: Faith & Mental Health”
- Mar. 18: “From Stumbling Blocks to Stepping Stones: If God Loves           Me, Why Am I So Miserable?”
- Mar. 25: “Putting Faith & Healing into Practice: An Update on a Free Medical Clinic for McMinnville”

More of Jesus Lenten Reading Plan

We’d like to invite you to join with others at Mac Cov as we read the gospels together during Lent. The reading plan begins tomorrow, Thursday February 23, and will run through to Easter. However, feel free to join in at any time. Let’s journey with each other to the cross and the empty tomb by reading the Gospels together – just two chapters each day, and we will have read through all four gospels by Easter. We’d love to encourage you to connect with others in small groups, Bible studies, or informally to talk about what we are reading. Make Lent a journey this year and walk with Christ. Attention Mac Cov Women:

Do you know what you will wear to the beach retreat this year? Yes indeed, it is time to start planning to attend the annual Women Ministries Beach Retreat! We have changed our date from our typical February weekend, to March 16, 17 and 18 for 2012. This year's theme is "Walking in the Light" with Kay Hotaling leading our study. As always, this retreat promises a great weekend of insight, worship, sharing, fun and friendship; a true celebration of sharing our lives together. Registration begins Sunday, January 15 - look for the Women Ministries table in the foyer for more details. Cost is $50 for three days, $40 for one night and meals, and $25 for just Saturday. Scholarships available. Keeping us close, keeping it real - because we really do need each other! Contact the church office to register.

Traditional Irish Music Concert

McMinnville Covenant Church will be hosting a wonderful Celtic Music concert on Saturday, March 10 at 7 p.m. For more info on the musicians click on these links to visit their websites; Dan Carollo and Eliot Grasso. The cost is $10 for adults with children under 18 free. Proceeds will go toward the Mac Cov group attending the YAHOO Mexico Mission this March.

All are invited to our annual Irish Ceili on Sunday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. Bruce Kenny will be here again to instruct us in some basic and fun Irish dances. This is a great family event, so invite your friends and neighbors. Please bring a green or Irish snack to share.
